As we pivoted the Picante product over a number of months, we learned a lot from our early adopters by engaging directly with them and also talking to others in the crypto space. We began seeing a bigger need for a complete accounting and bookkeeping solution for companies with income and expenses that are in crypto. Whether it be tracking transactions or generating balance sheets or P&L reports, every business that deals with crypto has all the same needs as those that do business only in fiat. This is particularly challenging for those that operate in a hybrid mode between fiat and crypto as they are only accustomed to traditional tools like Xero or Quickbooks and do not have an easy way to integrate transaction with their crypto assets. While there are competitors in the market, and even those with integrations with traditional tools, none of them had all the features they needed to manage all types of assets, including positions in liquidity pools and lending protocols, all while generating the accounting reports someone would need to satisfy audit and tax filings. That is what Picante aims to do.
The existing v1 version of the website no longer represents what the latest iteration of Picante had to offer and we needed to come up with something that can showcase its capabilities much better. Knowing that we will need to continue to refine the website as we push out new features, we wanted to make the v2 just as simple and easy to digest. We will continue to build upon it along the way so v3 may soon be on its way, but for the time being this was a great update to let users know all that Picante currently has to offer.
